Let me start out by saying I'm not wisest person when it comes to auto repair. Last year I had some problems with my Pontiac Grand Prix and I wasn't sure how to fix them. I tried to search the Internet for help, but the procedures were way too difficult for my skills. I ended up going to the dealship for my repairs. The dealership tends to charge more than mom and pop repair shops, but they've seen all sorts of situations (auto insurance problems, repair warranty issues, etc) and they seem to always find a way to help me. Maybe you can try calling auto repair shops in your area to see if they can help you. http://www.autorepairshoplocator.com

na you dont need any experiance. you could start as a lube tech. you will get the hang of changing oil real quick, but to be successfull you need to upsale. anything that needs attention, make shure you try and sale it. while you are a lube tech start buying tools. after a year or so, go get your state inspection, If the boss notices you can sale, and get a state inspection, he will promote you.

Just buy yourself an impact wrench, set of wrenches metric and regular, some oil filter wrenches, and a cheap socket set. You should be able to apply for oil change/tire rotation “tech” and get your foot in the door doing that.

You NEED to have your tires aligned. If they are not aligned then your tires will wear unevenly. An unaligned vehicle will also cause premature wear of suspension parts such as ball joints, and tire rod ends.

alignments are actually a maintenance thing…if you only get one when you have to have one then you'll have tire issues and its a good time to have the front end inspected too

Swift and sure steering responses are needed at today's driving speeds. To accomplish this, the wheels must be in alignment. Wheel alignment allows the wheels to roll without scuffing, dragging,or slipping on different types of road conditions. Proper alignment both the front and rear wheels ensures greater safety in driving, easier steering, longer tire life, reduction in fuel consumption, and less strain on the parts that make up the steering and suspension systems of the vehicle. Wheel alignment is usually done when steering or suspension components are replaced, or when suspension components weaken causing steering angles to become unaligned. If the tires where being replaced because of premature failure from worn or damaged components, then it would be in your best interest to have it done.
